The Foil Assist Mast AL offers precise control, smooth glide, and versatile performance for prone, downwind, wake and light-wind wing foiling.
With a size of 84 cm, this mast is ideal for prone and downwind foiling and can also be used for wake foiling in tanker waves and wing foiling in light winds.
The motor pod is seamlessly integrated into the mast profile, positioned 17 cm below the top plate. This integration not only enhances aesthetics but also contributes to performance. The mast features internally routed cables, ensuring optimal glide and maximum manoeuvrability. Its rigid, surf-inspired profile provides precise control and instant responsiveness while minimising drag for smoother, more efficient sessions.
Customise your ride with different propellers — plastic or alumminum — to dial in your perfect setup. Choose between powerful assistance that enables you to ride smaller foils and perform sharper turns, or go for a smoother boost for easy takeoffs and foiling. The folding gear propeller minimises drag for effortless glide on the wave. Its integrated gear system allows the two-blade propeller to unfold instantly, delivering a seamless transition as you kick out of the wave and power back out.
All components of the Foil Assist system are compatible with the other mast options, allowing you to easily expand your setup. With a wide selection of fuselage adapters — including, in addition to Duotone, ten other options such as F-One, Armstrong, Gong, Axis, Lift, North, Code, Sab, AFS, and KT — the Foil Assist can be seamlessly combined with most foil systems. It mounts to the board just like a traditional mast.
To maximise battery runtime with your Foil Assist, we recommend using a front wing with a surface area of 900 cm2 or larger, along with a board that has a minimum volume of 35 L.

The Midfish board is our go-to assist board for all our favourite foiling disciplines, including prone, downwinding, wing foiling and flat water cruising.
It features a mid-length shape with a narrow outline, designed for powerful carves while maintaining total control. Thanks to its slim design, the connection to the foil is direct, offering an outstanding responsive feel. The low rocker contributes to a flatter surface area, providing greater stability while riding and making it easier to get up on the foil.
Constructed with full carbon and reinforced with PVC in the standing area, the Midfish Foilboard is both strong and stiff, while remaining lightweight. This stiffness provides optimal control and responsiveness from the foil, allowing for precise manoeuvres.
The fishtail design not only enhances stability and provides extra push during takeoffs, but it also keeps the cable and leash securely in place and out of the way while foiling. The wider tail gives you offset foot placement.
The forward foil box position makes the board feel shorter and livelier on the foil, providing maximum manoeuvrability and a hyper-connected feel that allows you to easily navigate through tight turns and quick transitions.
The optimised volume distribution, along with a lowered front foot deck, enhances balance and ensures perfect pressure between the front and back foot, resulting in smooth, controlled touchdowns. The V-bottom concave improves comfort during landings, facilitates efficient takeoffs, and helps reduce energy consumption, making your rides more enjoyable.
On the Midfish 58L and 78L models, front footstrap inserts allow for both straight and V-strap setups, so you can choose the option that best suits your style.
